What began as a solo practice built on a simple idea, that protecting an invention starts with genuinely understanding it, has grown into one of the highest rated intellectual property firms in Los Angeles.

Founded by a Scientist Turned Patent Attorney

Omid E. Khalifeh came to patent law from the lab. After earning his B.S. in Neuroscience from UCLA, he completed his Juris Doctor at Chapman University School of Law on a full tuition scholarship and went on to become a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

That scientific foundation set the standard for the firm he built: attorneys who can speak both the technical language of an invention and the legal language of its protection. Today Omid leads the firm as Principal Patent Attorney, and his commentary on intellectual property matters has appeared in Forbes, People, and Business News Daily.
